What puts a body in a state of vulnerability, surrender, or resistance?

By dissecting emotions through actions, this new work by theater maker Yara Bou Nassar, embodies moments of fragility and resistance that are experienced in private or public spaces.

The performance emerges from a deconstruction of habits, memories, and obsessions associated with relationship dynamics and trauma. The text takes us through fragments of everyday behavior, coping mechanisms, and encounters that echo within us becoming a part of our identity. By revisiting the personal family archive, the work exposes intimate impulses carried from childhood to adulthood. It also questions the legitimacy of preserving memories through images and the transformation of the private space in wartime and crisis.
