Biography
Giulia Rumasuglia (CH) is a theatre director graduate of La Manufacture and currently living and working between Geneva and Zurich. Her artistic collaborations have taken her to the Schauspielhaus Zürich, where she worked with Herbert Fritsch, the Grand Théâtre de Genève with Luk Perceval, the POCHE-GVE in Geneva with Mathieu Bertholet and the Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne with Katie Mitchell and Rimini Protokoll. In 2022, she began working with Stefan Kaegi/Caroline Barneaud as an artistic assistant on Utopolis Lausanne, continuing in 2023 and 2024 with Shared Landscapes. Trained in French and Russian literature at the University of Geneva and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, she is  focusing her theatrical research at La Manufacture on the fabrication of silence on stage. In 2024, she will direct Julia Haenni's play "woman disappears (versions)" at the POCHE-GVE and Friedrich Dürrenmatt's "Hercules and the Stables of Augeas" at the Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne.
At Theater Neumarkt, she’s involved in "Der untalentierte Mister. R."  (Koslowski/Milz/Bertholet) as a director’s assistant.
