A Performance by Dorota Gawęda & Eglė Kulbokaitė
This performance, spanning Theater Neumarkt and Cabaret Voltaire, invites the audience to move between venues and immerse in two parallel worlds. Artists Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė blend text, video, and digital elements to create a hybrid narrative, blurring dichotomies like Subject-Environment, Nature-Technology, and Real-Virtual.
The narrative draws from Slavic folklore, featuring the demonic Południca, serving as a metaphor for modern ecological and social anxieties. Their work seamlessly combines archaic and futuristic elements.
